The Chess Set

   Have Fun viewing our chess set.  It was carved from downed Kentucky Cedar and Maple branches.   If you use the thumbnail zoom you will see that most of the pieces still have some bark, lichen, and some still have moss. They also have natural  branch characteristics such as knots and checks  (cracks) .  The pieces range in size from 6 1/2  for the pawn to 10 1/2 for the king .    The board comes in 4 pieces that, when laid together, is 2 foot square.  It is also made from Cedar and Maple.   The Chess set  comes with wood storage boxes, and cotton bags for the pieces.   Most of the pieces have been weighted for stability, and all have a felt bottom along with the boards.   The thumbnails are just part of the pictures, so click on them to view the complete photo.    My apologies to the Coke drinkers.  The Pepsi can is just for size comparison.
